Get your business ready for AI tools and agents
More and more people ask an AI assistant to find a business, compare options or get something done for them. Your own team is starting to use AI too. Being AI-ready means your business information, tools and workflows are set up so those assistants can work with you safely and accurately, and only in the ways you allow. We're based in Jacksonville, FL and work with businesses anywhere in the US.
Quick definitions
- API: a doorway that lets one piece of software ask another for information or ask it to do something, like "check open times" or "create an order."
- MCP (Model Context Protocol): a common plug that lets AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude connect to a tool, with rules about what they can see and do. Think of it as a power outlet: build the outlet once and many AI tools can plug in.
- Agent: an AI assistant that can take steps on its own toward a goal, like gathering details or filling out a request, instead of just answering one question.
- Agent-to-agent: your AI assistant and someone else's (a customer's, supplier's or partner's) passing requests and answers back and forth in an agreed format.
What does it mean for a business to be AI-ready?
It comes down to three things:
- Your facts are clear. Hours, services, service area, policies and how to reach you are written plainly and match everywhere. (This is also the base of showing up in AI answers.)
- Your tools can be reached safely. The systems that hold your bookings, orders, leads or records have a controlled doorway (an API or MCP connector) instead of someone copying and pasting.
- Your workflows are written down. You know who does what, in what order and where a person has to sign off. AI can only help with a process you can describe.
Connect your business tools to AI assistants
- Map which tools you use and what's in them: scheduling, store, CRM, inbox, spreadsheets, files
- Use the connections your tools already offer where they're good enough, so you're not paying for custom work you don't need
- Build an API or MCP connector where there isn't one, limited to the exact actions you approve, like "look up an order" but not "issue a refund"
- Set it up so you can see what was asked, what was done and switch it off anytime

MCP connectors, in plain English
An MCP connector is a small piece of software that sits between an AI assistant and one of your systems. It tells the assistant what it's allowed to do there, like "read today's appointments" or "add a new lead," and nothing else. Because MCP is a shared standard, one well-built connector can work with several AI assistants instead of one. We run our own businesses with a team of AI agents and an Ops Center dashboard we built.
Agents that work with other people's agents
Some customers already ask AI assistants to find a provider, ask for a quote or book a time. Partners and suppliers are starting to do the same. We help you get ready for that without giving up control:
- Make your booking, quote request and ordering steps clear and simple enough for a person or an assistant to complete
- Give your own assistant a defined job, like collecting quote details or answering availability, with a hand-off to you for anything that commits you
- Set rules for what an outside agent can request and what always needs a human yes
- Keep a log of every request so you can see what came in and from where
Honest note: this is still early. Not every AI assistant can book or order with every business yet, and the standards for agents talking to each other are still settling. We build on open standards where we can so your setup doesn't lock you in, and we'll tell you plainly when something isn't worth doing yet.
Map your workflows and future-proof them
- Walk through how work actually moves today, from first inquiry to paid invoice
- Mark the repetitive steps, the steps that need judgment and the places a person must approve
- Automate the repetitive steps first, then add AI where it saves real time
- Keep your data in tools you own or control, with exports, so you can switch tools later
- Write it all down in plain English, so your team (and your AI tools) know the process
How we keep it safe
- You approve first. No AI tool or connector goes live until you've said yes.
- Least access. Each tool gets only the access its job needs, and nothing more.
- A person in the loop. Anything that reaches a customer, spends money or commits you gets a human review.
- You can see and stop it. Activity is logged, and every connection can be switched off.
- Sensitive records stay put. Private customer, health, payment or legal records don't go into places they don't belong.
What to do now so you aren't left behind
You don't need to rebuild everything. Most businesses get the most from a few steps:
- Get your business facts clear and consistent everywhere.
- Write down your three most repetitive workflows.
- Automate one of them and see how it goes.
- Connect one key tool to an AI assistant, with tight limits.
- Review it every few months as the tools change.
FAQ
Is this only for tech companies?
No. A bakery, a nonprofit or a one-person service business can benefit. We'll tell you honestly if it isn't worth it for you yet.
